Job Description:

We are looking for a farm animal veterinarian to work in an innovative and growing company. You should have a passion for technology and a strong interest in farming. Based in Northern Ireland, you would play a key role in empowering our customers to make better decisions. You should have a good understanding of the metrics that drive productivity and profitability of livestock farms particularly in relation to Animal Health. You might have direct experience of running a veterinary practice business. You should have a good understanding and interest in data including the processing and communication of data or information and an advanced level of microsoft Excel as well as farm management softwares or vet practice management softwares, precision livestock farming technologies, cow worn technologies, vet laboratories, government or national animal records and milk or herd recording services. Knowledge of relational database structures and data warehousing. In this role you will work closely with the CEO and vets including customers and partners to meet business objectives. You need to be able to communicate effectively with vet customers, their suppliers and their farm clients. As your knowledge of the business grows and your confidence in the product grows it is important that you would be wiling to present at industry events when necessary the content and vision of the vision of the data system. Working autonomously is important in this role and flexible working hours as well as a proportion of hours available to be worked from home are a possibility. Reporting to the MD of a small and privately owned company this is a new opportunity for a Commercial Manager to have an exciting and varied role within the Animal Health sector. Your position would be multi-functional. Primarily you would sell to customers nationwide from large farming cooperatives, buying groups, to independent merchants - Lead the creation of new products: o Animal husbandry products (own label) o Bought in accessories and o Third party wholesale - Lead the evolution and development for the marketing of our brand(s) and service offering. The role would involve 1-2 days in the office. 1-2 days with large customers (strategic visits) and 1 day could be WFH. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the agricultural sector and could have established networks ie selling to or working for one of the agricultural cooperatives perhaps even in a buying role. Currently comprised of 4 separate companies across 3 Geographies servicing clients’ needs at both vet and merchant levels. There is an existing very strong regulatory affairs and technical services team. This new position is part of a structured plan to aggressively expanding the export markets. The company is expanding rapidly and therefore requires a National Sales Manager for France to help achieve the growth strategy.
