The 2019 London Vet Show was, as always, a busy two days. From the moment the doors opened on the Thursday morning until they closed on Friday evening, a steady stream of delegates descended upon the exhibition floor. It was great to see many new companies exhibiting, as well as previous exhibitors return, and all in all it seemed to be a successful event for everyone.
The London Vet Show is always a highlight on our calendar, for a multitude of reasons.
Firstly, it’s at a great time of the year. It’s a time when we’re all immersed in planning for the next year to come, so seeing what’s new, what’s changed and having the opportunity to gain some inspiration from the best in the industry is welcome.
Then there’s the fact that the show itself is one of the best in the world. It offers an outstanding CPD programme, an unrivalled line up of speakers and educators and access to the best information on the vast range products and services available to the veterinary industry, ranging from those provided by global giants to niche start-ups.
For us here at Noble Futures, this was our fifth consecutive year to return as Gold sponsor of the Exhibitor Lounge and the Exhibitor Welcome Drinks Reception and the show was a huge success. Our recruitment team spent much time talking to clients about their staffing needs, helping them to plan to ensure they have the right personnel to support growth and profitability – the cornerstones of successful business. We also met with many individuals seeking to take their careers to the next level – it’s always inspiring to meet so many talented and enthusiastic people looking to make a real difference in the industry!
In the Exhibitor Lounge, our cakes and refreshments flew off the shelves and the lounge was pretty much full from open to close, both days. We were very grateful that we had 10% extra space this year – the extra seating for the lounge certainly was needed as we still had points were all tables were full!
The Exhibitor Welcome Drinks Reception was one of the busiest yet and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. We hope you did too, if you were there?
2019 also saw our MD – Tony Noble – feature as guest speaker at two fantastic workshops.
The first was VSGD Community Mastermind which took place on the Thursday lunchtime. Vets: Stay, Go Diversify (VSGD) is an international community of veterinary professionals who support each other in pursuing fulfilling careers. Every table at the workshop was full and an excellent line up of speakers provided a huge amount of valuable information from differing perspectives, from those of employers, those in recruitment (such as Noble Futures) and then from candidates themselves. The format was wonderfully interactive, offering a great opportunity for attendees to ask questions and gain as much information as possible from speakers and we hope that it has provided VSGD with the groundwork to allow them to continue their excellent work.
The second was the launch of VetYou – a fantastic new community on a mission to provide vets with financial guidance, money mindset testimonials and a route to personal prosperity. The launch took place in the Noble Futures Exhibitor Lounge and featured a panel discussion to give attendees valuable insights into how to achieve a fulfilling career and how to make a success of the financial side of veterinary medicine. Tony spoke to attendees about the need for vets to find a career that they find fulfilling, whether that is in practice or industry, and then use this as a vehicle for their financial prosperity. Vets are fortunate that the nature of the veterinary medicine and working with animals is in itself extremely fulfilling for animal lovers. However, the breadth and depth of opportunities within the industry mean that finding a niche that brings you the most job satisfaction holds the key to a fulfilling career which can then be built upon for financial prosperity.
If you would like to discuss the career options available to you as a qualified vet and to discuss how to bring your career to the next level for maximum fulfilment and prosperity, please do get in touch – we’re here to make your career dreams a reality.
