Job Description:

We are recruiting a Regional Sales Manager for an independent agricultural business who have over 100 employees and ambitious plans of growth. As Regional Sales Manager your role will be managing all sales activity through a team of Area Business Managers within the assigned geographic area. 

  • Coach, manage and influence a team of 5-7 Area Business Managers. Includes hiring, performance appraisals and management, corrective action, employee development, training, retention and engagement.
  • Develop and execute annual regional plans to achieve sales goals, modifying as necessary. Ensure the development and execution of each TM’s annual sales plan at the territory level.
  • Takes ownership of the business in the region; maintains knowledge of local market, competitive activity; performs analysis of strengths and opportunities for sales success in region.

Requirements:

  • Formal agricultural or related qualification desirable
  • Work Experience: Previous farm animal health sales experience is strongly preferred. Outside sales experience with proven success with demonstrated leadership characteristics.
  • Other: Must have clean driving record. Must be willing and able to spend 8+ hours per day in vehicle. Significant overnight travel required.
  • Basic computer skills needed – experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and other software.
